Our Collection

Over 30,000 bound volumes, more than 300 serial titles and a collection of non-book materials.  Browse our offerings online via the EOS.Web OPAC.

Electronic Subscriptions

In addition to traditional library materials, FCLL has a network providing 8 user stations for accessing primary, secondary and search materials for Federal and Ohio jurisdictions.  These workstations are available on a first come, first served basis only.  For a listing of our CD-ROM and Internet titles, click here.

FAX Service

The Library offers FAX services to the bar for any materials in the collection. Local transmission is $.50 per page (minimum $1.00); long distance (FAX ready) is $1.00 per page; long distance (staff makes copies) is $1.25 per page. Patrons may call the main library number to request FAX services.

The public may come to the Library to send or receive faxes. Charges to send are $.25 per page local, $1.00 per page long distance, and $.10 per page to receive.

Document Delivery

The Library also offers copying and mail service to the legal community of any materials in the collection. Costs are $.50 per page plus postage. Patrons may request these services by mail, phone, fax or e-mail.

Database Searches

Online legal database searches are available to users.  FCLL offers Westlaw and LEXIS for a modest rate of $5-$10 per typical search.  Patrons may call the main Library number to make an appointment for these searches.

Courtroom Aids

Courtroom aids are available to patrons on a pick-up only basis. Among the large collection of aids are TVs & VCRs, overhead projectors and screens, easels, and anatomical models and charts. It is best to reserve them by calling the general Library number.

Conference Room

The Library has a conference room which may be reserved for small meetings. Capacity is 10 persons. It is also best to either reserve or call ahead for use of the room.  Food and drink are not permitted in the Conference Room.

High Speed Internet Access

FCLL has high-speed Internet access via Time-Warner RoadRunner at all network terminals allowing for rapid connections to legal sites on the World Wide Web.  Patrons are able to print documents from the network or download to diskettes.  Those wishing to download must purchase diskettes from the Library at a cost of $.50 per disk.  (This a precaution against the spread of computer viruses)

A library card is required to check out materials.  The card, AVAILABLE TO CENTRAL OHIO ATTORNEYS ONLY, is free. Central Ohio attorney patrons may stop by and sign up, or sign up online!
